In 2011 and 2016, RCB were again runners-up but couldn’t claim the title after reaching the finals. In 2011, they finished runners-up to Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2016. Those campaigns would become significant footnotes in the franchise’s history, most notably 2016 – the season where Virat Kohli had one of the all-time great individual batting seasons in IPL history.

Finally, the breakthrough did come in 2025. RCB earned the title and won 11 matches across their 16 outings, and they took home an IPL championship after beating Punjab Kings in the final. In 2026, the team took a stride further to finish first place yet again lifting the title by beating Gujarat Titans in the final match. The 2026 campaign was also capped off with 11 wins from 16 games.
